At the DCP, we are able to keep our tuition low by asking our parents to participate in fundraisers to raise money for things that tuition does not cover. In the past, the money has gone towards vitally important operating expenses like payroll, as well as financial aid/scholarships, teacher's bonuses and continuing education. It has also helped us pay for new equipment like books and bookcases, the 3/4's loft, a piano keyboard, and our beautiful new sign and fence. Our goal is to raise enough money to be able to continue making improvements to our school environment in addition to covering the day to day operating costs.
To that end, our Fundraising Plan for the school year will help us to reach our financial goals, but also allow us to have some fun. Our fundraisers won't feel like fundraisers, because they either require minimal effort from our parent body, or because they are social activities that happen to raise money, too.
We want to make the fundraising experience at the DCP as pain-free as possible, and dare we say it...FUN!
