Faith Richmond

Lead Educator, Animas Classroom (she/her/hers)

My name is Faith and I am delighted to be joining Denver Cooperative Preschool this year as a Lead Educator in the Animas Class. I am returning to teaching after spending some quality time caring for my grandparents over the last few years, and I am so excited to get back into the playful spirit of the classroom! There is nothing I enjoy more than being curious, silly, and enthusiastic with young learners as they discover this wondrous world.

I began working in early childhood education in 2017, and I have found that the early childhood classroom involves all of the things I love most about education: exploration, connection, and fun! I have a master’s degree in Special Education and I firmly believe that every child has a beautifully unique way of seeing and interacting with their environment. I strive to understand my students and meet them where they are as they uncover their own interests and passions.

When I am not in the classroom, I spend my time singing songs, playing games, making art, and enjoying life with friends, family, and my puppy. In many ways, I feel like a big kid and I find that I am in perpetual awe of this life.
